Oakley Hydrophobic

A lens treated with Oakley's Permanent Hydrophobic Coating has a smudge resistant barrier that makes water bead up and slide off the lens. It also repels skin oils and other contaminates. Even the "permanent" ink from a marker pen comes straight off a lens with a hydrophobic coating.

Photochromic

Oakley lenses are available with transition SOLFX photochromic technology and darken and lighten automatically in response to changing light.

UV Protection - Thermonuclear Protection

Oakley Plutonite lens material stops every wave length of ultraviolet radiation from the sun's thermonuclear furnace, not just the lower energy form called UVA. Even Oakley's clearer lense filter out 100% of all UV. Basically you can be blinded by what you can't see. Most eyewear lenses block some UV so they can claim "UV protection" but Oakley's Plutonite lens material filters out 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC. The protection is built into the lens material so it can't scratch off and leave your eyes exposed to a UV leak.
